What is it about?
Alzheimer's disease is a heterogeneous neurodegenerative disorder of presenium and senium, characterized by a /INS;progressive decline of mental faculties, loss of professional skills, impairment of behavior, social performance and communication and various neurological manifestations. Since basal ganglia play an important role in cognitive functions, motor control and behavior,/INS; we attempted to study the pathological alterations of the claustrum whose enigmatic function may be related to cognition.
