What is it about?

There are few published studies regarding the application of PIF to estimate the contribution of this risk factor in avoiding burden of stroke

Why is it important?

This study aimed to highlight the role of reduction in blood pressure in avoiding stroke using the distribution shift method. In summary we found that every 5 mmHg hypothetical reduction in systolic blood pressure above 140 mmHg, 3.5% (PIF= 0.035) of the total burden to stoke could be avoided.

Perspectives

I have appreciated this opportunity to share my publication in the field of Comparative Risk Assessment.
