What is it about?
Observations of the density of latex particles are described. Fractal dimensions are useful parameters to characterize the density. These are much higher at a few per cent concentration than those seen in previous studies for dilute dispersions. In particular studies were made with aluminium sulfate and ferric chloride.

Why is it important?
A surprising observation was that flocculation was observed at lower ionic strength with iron chloride than with aluminium sulfate. This specific ion effect could be attributed to different acidity.
