What is it about?
Gr@NiO2/Cu2O NCs is a highly efficient catalyst for the synthesis of Schiff-base derivatives. Honey mediated green synthesis strategy for the Graphene based NiO2/Cu2O. Excellent yield of products and short reaction times. The role of graphene is suggested to prolonged reaction duration

Why is it important?
to the best of our knowledge, synthesis of Schiff base derivatives in the presence of Gr@Ni2O/Cu2O NCs as a catalyst is not yet reported through the green synthesis. Gr@NiO2/Cu2O NCs, Honey mediated green synthesis of nanoparticles provides a simple, cost effective, biocompatible, reproducible, rapid, and safe method. We have used honey as a green reagent due to its special properties. It is generally used as both a stabilizer and a reducing agent. Our results clearly showed the morphology, stability, catalytic activity and reusability due to optimal assembly and interfacial coupling between graphene and Ni2O/Cu2O NCs. Additionally, anticipated the catalytic activity of Gr@Ni2O/Cu2O nanocomposites exhibited better catalytic performance in the synthesis of Schiff base derivatives. Shorter reaction times, low packing of catalyst and higher yields are the benefit of this novel protocol. Its activity and simple recyclability without losing catalytic activity sort this catalyst a better replacement than other catalyst according to earlier studies
