What is it about?
The analysis was made to study the effect of the selection of the threshold area on the fractal dimension, on the Horton-Strahler properties of the basins, and the consequences on the GIUH of arid basins.

Why is it important?
The study shows the effects of selecting some characteristics of the watershed could have a great effect on the accuracy of the results which may lead to under-design of important infrastructure defensive measures against floods.
Perspectives
I hope that this work will be considered by hydrologists in their fieldwork and design phase.
