What is it about?

A new diagnostic method for pulmonary tuberculosis. It is fast, accurate, and at a low cost. This test reflects the functionality of the bacteria i.e. only the vital bacteria will be detected. The test was non-toxic and showed no side effects on testing.

It helps not just with the diagnosis but also in the follow-up of the case, it also predicts antimicrobial resistance.

Perspectives

All diagnostic methods for tuberculosis can't differentiate between live or dead bacteria nor an accurate estimation of the bacterial load except the carbon 13 urea breath test for tuberculosis.
