What is it about?
This is the first paper to formulate a master curve representation of crack growth in Additively Manufactured Ti-6AL-4V that holds: i) Regardless of the manurfactring process; ii) Regardless of the build direction. It reveals that the effect of these different AM processes can be accounted for by allowing for the different fatigue thresholds and the different cyclic toughnesses.

Why is it important?
This is a seminal development in that it identifies the two key parameters necessary to characterise crack growth in AM materials.
