What is it about?
The bunionette deformity is characterized by a painful prominence of the fifth metatarsal head. Multiple surgical techniques have been described in the literature, but no single technique has proven to be superior. We found that the Kramer osteotomy is an effective treatment option in patients with painful bunionette deformity.

Why is it important?
We found that the Kramer osteotomy represents an effective and safe treatment option in patients with painful bunionette deformity, with significant correction of the 4-5 IM and MTP-5 angles, without significant shortening and with few associated complications.
