What is it about?
Lithium ion batteries are currently used in wide range of applications, particularly electric cars. However, they have drawbacks, including high potential to cause fire and explosion and in sufficient energy storage capacity. This article reviews and comments on recent development in fluorinated liquid electrolytes for lithium ion batteries with improved safety and increased energy capacity.
