What is it about?

This article uses energy-specific input tables to estimate the energy ecological footprint of a territory. It includes detailed information of the energy footprint of the studied territory, consideirng the consumption of 13 different fossil fuels.

Why is it important?

The use of energy-specific input-output tables makes possible to develop a detailed analysis of the energy component of the ecological fooptrint.

Perspectives

I think that the sector distribution of the energy ecological footprint is interesting, because researchers have paid little attention to this fact. In addittion, the article underlines the importance of some questions with regard to the electricity footprint ( electricity exports and distribution losses) for the studied territory.
