What is it about?

The accurate and reliable forecasting of wind power is of great importance for electrical systems’ control and operation. However, the intermittent nature of wind power generation implies a complicated forecasting framework. We propose a hybrid model for this purpose.

Why is it important?

We have well proposed a combination of various methods such as data preprocessing, neural network, and optimization algorithms to more accurately predict wind power than previous works.

Perspectives

Based on the results, we believe that the proposed method can be used for practical applications in the power system to improve operation and control.
