Why is it important?
This study shows the relation of micro-plastic seasonal concentration in relation the plankton community which needs the estuarine ecosystem to complete their life cycle.
Perspectives
In my opinion what is going in this estuary is not an exception! If I may I would suggest that the same study should be conducted in others estuaries around the world just to check my theory. It is important that this studies must conduct theirs samples using the same sample design e effort. In this way estuaries threats will be comparable.
