What is it about?
Chromogenic compounds may be used as surrogates of sensory elements of our nervous system. As sensors, chromogenic compounds send optical signals to human eye. In this paper, a quantification of such information is proposed. Moreover, two strategies for implementing fuzzy logic are described.

Why is it important?
Chromogenic compounds are promising sensors in Chemical Artificial Intelligence. We propose a new definition of Colourability based on the Theory of Information. We present a vector representation of the chromogenic transformations. We describe two methodologies for implementing Fuzzy logic at the molecular level. The Maximum Entropy Method unveils the distribution of merocyanine conformers.
