What is it about?

The literature review examined the factors that influenced people to participate in clinical trails. The main factor influencing people to participate in clinical trials was related to personal factors. People who participated hoped to obtain some form of personal gain through participation such as new and improved treatments or better care. Cancer was identified as the leading disease for which people participated in clinical trails followed by HIV and cardiovascular disease.
