Why is it important?
Tiger parenting with extreme demands for excellence has become increasingly prevalent in highly competitive societies. Tiger parenting was positively and significantly associated with child anxiety. Positive psychological strengths were negatively associated with child anxiety. Optimism and gratitude can moderate the effect of tiger parenting on child anxiety. Positive parenting and positive psychological strengths are equally important for child development.
