What is it about?
Turnera ulmifolia L. is used in Brazilian folk medicine as an anti-inflammatory in the treatment of albuminuria, leucorrhoea, furunculosis, asthma and rheumatism due to the presence of antioxidant compounds. Results indicated, through peroxidation suppression, that this extract exhibited greater antioxidative activity. Phenolic compounds may be responsible for this antioxidant capacity.
