What is it about?
This paper is aimed to propose a low-cost automated control of furnace for steel heat treatments and makes innovative use of new technologies. This was implemented using an open source electronic prototyping platform in order to control the furnace temperature reducing the human interaction during the heat process, and it can be adapted on commercial furnac-es without control, mainly used by small businesses.
