What is it about?
Non-Professional information from blogs and review sites is becoming ever more important in society. However in outdoor activities (e.g. Kayaking) many people are uncertain if only professional information should be used, or if volunteered information is comparable. We proved that people use non-professional information as much as professional information with comparative levels of trust.

Why is it important?
This paper dispels the idea that non-professional information from review sites and blogs is not as good as professional information in books and official websites. The implication of this paper is that designers should have confidence in mixing data sources when providing information solutions to the outdoor sports market.
