Why is it important?

Health economics is becoming increasingly important as a strategic focus area for medical device companies. Timely assessment of evidence needs (e.g., health economics, clinical outcomes) based on input from varying stakeholders early in the product development process is a prominent factor. Health economic needs may vary in scope, including budget impact analysis, cost effectiveness, and other strategies to illustrate product value.
