What is it about?

alpha-Synuclein (aSyn) is a small protein that causes big problems in myelinating brain cells when it accumulates. This occurs in patients suffering with Multiple System Atrophy (MSA). Our novel compounds improve cell health by turning up protection and reducing aSyn related abnormalities.

Why is it important?

Reversing aSyn pathology with small molecules could help improve the quality of life for those with MSA.

Perspectives

Making a difference drives our efforts. It is so exciting to contribute to better health for brain aging by preclinically testing potential therapies. Hopefully you will find our work interesting.
