What is it about?

This research unveils Xi Shao Formula (XSF) mechanism in treating neuropathic pain (NP). It identifies altered serum substances and associated metabolic pathways influenced by XSF. Molecular docking confirms strong affinity between XSF's active components and their targets.

Why is it important?

Metabolomics found 11 potential NP biomarkers for XSF. Functional analysis showed eight related pathways. Integrated analysis highlighted the "MAOA/MAOB/TYR - tyrosine metabolism pathway." Molecular docking confirmed strong interactions with targets. Our findings enhance XSF's NP treatment understanding.

Perspectives

I believe that the use of modern biomedicine in the study of traditional medicine is a promising interdisciplinary approach. It helps us to understand how traditional Chinese medicine can play a therapeutic role in neuropathic pain. I also hope that more researchers will discover more valuable and more interdisciplinary approaches for the development of Chinese medicine
