What is it about?
There is no standard treatment for psychological insulin resistance, which is known to worsen diabetic outcomes Our group developed a new group intervention with several components: (i) general education of DM and insulin, (ii) an insulin pen demonstration, and an (iii) insulin-using peer sharing session The intervention is shown to be effective in decreasing PIR in this pilot trial The intervention is found to be acceptable by patients.
