What is it about?
Microbial interaction is known to be more among those with similar traits and functional niche. When such microbial groups are classified as Ecophysiological groups & checked for their interaction with other groups, results were interesting.

Why is it important?
Use of enhancers like biosurfactants/bioemulsifiers (BS/BE) is well known to induce degradation capabilities. But the resultant mutual interaction where both the degrader and BS/BE producer is interesting as both complement and enhance each others survival and growth. The results will help in understanding and designing future models for microbial usage for enhancement of degradation.
