What is it about?
The effect of adding chromium to zinc-containing BEA zeolites at different Si/Al ratios (17, 100, 1000) on acid-base and catalytic properties in the propane to propane dehydrogenation process with/without CO2 (CO2-PDH/PDH) is clarified. A positive effect on propane conversion and propene selectivity was found for the catalyst based on the initial Cr/ZnAlBEA zeolite (Si/Al = 17). In the presence of Cr/Zn-BEA catalysts, higher propane conversion is achieved in the CO2- PDH process, but with lower propene selectivity compared to the PDH process
