What is it about?
The catalytic properties of activated red mud (ARM) and copper-containing compositions on its basis, in CO of oxidation and steam reforming reactions, have been investigated. Nanodispersity of the components and high thermal stability of ARM-based compositions has been clarified using XRD and derivatography. The relationship between the conditions of thermal treatment of the compositions, the size of the nanoparticles of their components, and catalytic activity have been established. The prospects of using ARM-based catalysts in gas cleaning processes in plants and enterprises where the temperature of exhaust gases is 300-400 °C have been shown.
