What is it about?

This work explores in different cell types of the liver, the expression of RNAs encoding calcium ATPases. We used again an interdisciplinary approach.

Why is it important?

We found in liver cells a calcium ATPase (PMCA3) that is mostly expressed in cells as can be neurons or muscle cells.

Perspectives

The presence of PMCA3 in the liver was a surprising finding. We are still working to find out what can be its role.
