What is it about?

This work describes how to estimate the ''true'' internal costs of industrial waste to promote environmentally friendly waste management. The study employs the EUROPE model for assigning industrial costs to waste, having the same basic status as normal products.

Why is it important?

The amount of wastes generated in Europe grows by 10 percent per year. This trend must be reversed if the Europeans want to avoid being submerged by rubbish. The launched method creates incentives for improvement of companies' profitability and environmental impact.

Perspectives

The results of my study will have a substantial positive impact on profits. This is a consequence of the companies’ acting in accordance with the principle of sustainable development.
