Controversial effects of a changing climate on habitat for forest species According to our results, climate change is improving habitat quality for deadwood species in boreal forest, as a consequence of an increased forest growth. However the species which are going to lose habitat are highly represented in the landscape, likely because of an increase in timber extraction and deadwood decomposition rate.
