What is it about?
It is noted that considerable non-invasive hemodynamic research has been conducted so far in the human microcirculation in vivo and a concise report on the state of the art hemodynamic measurements is given. In addition, some comments are made on the measured velocity profile of blood and on the application of Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV).
