What is it about?
In a two-choice task (e.g., a Simon task), a task-irrelevant stimulus may prime one of the two responses. In this study, we show that this may also lead to the inhibition of the the unprimed response (even if this is the correct one). The primed and unprimed responses activation and inhibition observed in a given trial is modulated by the compatibility between stimulus and response features in the previous trial.
