What is it about?

We show how technetium can be sorpbed by inorganic sorbents and natural minerals. The sorption with anion exchange resins is compared.

Why is it important?

Technetium is the most mobile radionuclide metal and it makes danger while it accumulates in the spent nuclear fuel. Its separation is an important challenge for safe handling of radioactive wastes

Perspectives

We demonstrated many sorbents and minerals that could help us to control technetium behavior in the environments
