What is it about?

This paper did a factor analysis on self-reported emotional reactions to a set of film clips. The results indicated that participants responses produced a reliable structure, differentiations among the emotions of amused/warmhearted, fearful/anxious and disgusted/scornful. This pattern of response held up over time.

Why is it important?

This work provides some validation of using film clips as emotion-eliciting stimuli.

Perspectives

This work is important to me, as it was my first empirical article, which I worked on the summer before I went to graduate school.
