Why is it important?
Genomic structures and their evolution is a necessary step to understand the diveristy of live and the solutions that were invented by nature to meet challenging environmental situation and warrant species sustainability over time. Comparative genomics is a powerful tool to understand biology through evolution. Evolution is necessary to add the time dimention to the spacial one and describe how structures may transform into one another accoding to environment challenges and increasing entropy.
