What is it about?

For this closing book chapter, we authors have summarized their concepts (about corrosion control and surface finishing using environmentally Friendly approaches) that were presented and discussed within the book. Using this information, they proposed future trends and preparations (for emotional and technological/economical, etc. viewpoints) to maintain a balance for the merits of civilization into account. Consider this book as a useful guide and great resource for designing future innovative surface finishing/corrosion prevention technologies, etc. with a focus on environmental friendliness.

Why is it important?

We proposed in this Springer book (Corrosion and Surface Finishing - Environmentally Friendly Approaches) the importance of balance between functionality and environmental friendliness. It should be incorporated into the design concept of materials surfaces for the future. The end chapter focuses on this.

Perspectives

Surface Finishing and corrosion control should be considered and investigated from the economics, politics, technology and human emotions. From the viewpoints, this technology seems to be interdisciplinary fields. This chapter stresses the characteristics of the technology.
