What is it about?

This book chapter summarizes research that relates psychological contracts and career to one another. Psychological contracts are defined as obligations, promises and expectations in the employment relationship. Organizational career support results in relational and fulfilled psychological contracts. Relational and fulfilled psychological contracts are a precondition for successful careers. Future research should, however, investigate the relationship between psychological contracts and careers in more detail.
