What is it about?
Sea buckthorn is a promising medicinal and eco-engineering plant. Despite it has been used in traditional tibetan medicinal practice for centuries, its applications in contemporary medicine and pharmacology have started just a few decades ago. There is still much to learn about genetics and evolutionary history of this plant. The review introduces readers into the state of art of population genetics, phylogeopgraphy, and biogeography of sea buckthorn.
