What is it about?
In order to redress the neglect of the experiences of older spouse carers, this chapter will be devoted to the exploration of these experiences from the perspectives of carers themselves. It will begin with a consideration of their views on the impact of caring upon their lives. This will draw on similar categories used in other carer research including the impact of caring on finances, health and social life. This will be followed by a consideration of the positive, negative and nuanced aspects of their caring experiences.
