Why is it important?

We provide an analysis of the different interaction techniques that can be encountered in intelligent environments (e.g. voice-based interaction, touch, eye gaze, etc.) and highlight the accessibility challenges and opportunities entailed for different user categories. The summative table can be used to guide the design of intelligent environment to be digitally accessible.

Perspectives

I hope that this article will be useful in understanding digital accessibility, and designing accessible intelligent environments by appropriately employing multimodal interaction.
