Why is it important?

Our college was one of the initial few colleges to start the foundation course. Perceptions regarding the foundation course have not been previously collected. A majority (>60%) had positive attitudes towards various aspects of the course, with good scores obtained in the post-test by the majority of the students. The information reported will assist in the planning of future foundation course programs.

Perspectives

This was newly introduced program, and not much information on student or faculty opinion regarding this was available. Our favorable results re-affirm the decision of MCI to introduce this concept for all medical colleges in India.
