What is it about?

Thermal energy storage is an effectiveness method for load regulation. It can be used to improve the efficiency of the chiller plants by active load regulating. This paper investigate it's application performance, thus the energy saving potential, when applied in a variey of climates and buildings.

Why is it important?

Different with passive load regulation, the load of the chiller is actively regulated. Thus, the load regulation strategy based on thermal energy storage system are much more flexible than conventional method.

Perspectives

I hope this article could offer the related researchers and manufacture fresh ideas and motivate them to apply the thermal energy storage, especially the latent heat thermal energy storage for carbon drop.
