What is it about?

According to this preliminary study, there are 2 sonoaanatomic features that may help to differentiate different types of malformations involving the cerebellar vermis already at 12-13 weeks of gestation. IN particular, by assessing the rotation of the vermis - through measurement of the ponto-vermian angle, and the width of the Sylvian aqueduct, it may be possible to differentiate early in gestation DAndy-Walker Malformation from Blake's pouch cyst.
