What is it about?
Abnormalities of cardiac output, Total Vascular Resistance (TVR) and water body distribution are connected with preeclampsia (PE) and foetal growth restriction (IUGR). We assessed maternal hemodynamic pattern and body composition in the first trimester of pregnancy. We found an altered myocardial performance and low fat mass in the first trimester may be an early marker of PE and/or IUGR.
