What is it about?
We have studied a new simple technique of pelvic floor assessment by 3D ultrasound. The technique has been demonstrated to be highly reproducible and to produce information comparable withthe previously used techniques.

Why is it important?
Studying female pelvic floor is of utmost importance. Women with lesions of their pelvic floor due to vaginal delivery have higher risk to develop female pelvic floor dysfunction such as pelvic organ prolapse and incontinence. Early recognition of these lesions have a huge potential in improving women's health.
