What is it about?
This research focuses on to differentiate HIF event from non-HIF events such as capacitor switching, load switching and motor starting. It is crucial because all of these events have almost similar characteristics which make it difficult for the protection devices to differentiate them. It is important to be noted that the occurrence of HIF event is dangerous to the power distribution system which can lead to power blackout if no immediate action is taken.
