This study looks at how different combinations of adverse childhood experiences relate to different cardiovascular risk factors.

Why is it important?
We found consistent associations between tobacco smoking, overweight/obesity, and lifetime depression with each combination of adverse childhood experiences. Behavioral cardiovascular disease prevention interventions may benefit from targeting these risk factors simultaneously.
