What is it about?

Many people think that autism is more common in boys. however, recent research suggests that autism is more common in girls than had been previously thought. Teachers are often among the first people to realsie that a child might have autism, so we investigated whether the gender of a child impacted how likely it was that a teacher would recognise autism.

If autism is being under-recognised, it might be possible to better educate people about it, especially teachers.
