What is it about?
Teachers may refer to people inside and outside the school to find support. Our study addressed different sources of support: family, friends, colleagues, supervisor. We studied, for each source, its role in influencing teacher burnout and work engagement.

Why is it important?
By knowing that family is usually felt as the first source of support, we can organize our interventions better, for example by fostering workplace support, improving communication among colleagues and principals, promoting a supportive, compassionate culture in schools. This would be particularly important in case of teachers with weak or strained relations with their families.
