What is it about?

Doped manganites are promising for the use in spintronics and nanoelectronics. We have shown for the first time that in polycrystalline films of sodium-doped manganites, the process of the ferromagnetic phase nucleation is spatially non-uniform. It includes a few successive stages upon lowering temperature and its features are dependent on the film microstructure.

Why is it important?

Our findings show how to tune the properties of magnetic films promising for applications in spintronics and nanoelectronics.

Perspectives

Among other things, the work demonstrates how important is magnetic resonance technique in understanding the nature of complex magnetic state of some materials.
