What is it about?
Many pharmaceuticals represent a multi component mixture of active and non active ingredients having different properties. Ideally, it would be good to determine all of them in a single step analysis. In this particular paper it was done by using mixed mode chromatography, when different substances/ions are retained by a single chromatographic column and therefore their content can be quantified.

Why is it important?
The analysis can be performed in a shorter time with a single instrument.
