Artifactual microhemorrhage generated by susceptibility weighted image processing

What is it about?

"Microbleeds" resulting from traumatic brain injury (TBI) and other diseases are best detected using an MRI technique called "susceptibility weighted imaging". Here we show that some of the methods commonly used to combine signals to make the MRI image introduce artifacts which appear to be "microbleeds"
